Holla. I was a bit skeptical at the beginning of new year, how my life would change through out the 2009 and so on but after a month, I am a bit impress on my new life. First, I just started my new career in January 2009 and what make me happy is I am now working in an industry that I can only dream off as a child.

A wise man once said that, to learn anything, you need to learn constructively. From a basic to more advance. Learning without a plan is just worthless. I am taking this advice for my guidance in everything I do.

The Graph above is my chess performance indicator in Gameknot (GK) site. During end of December I manage to get my highest rating in GK (=1769) and during the same period, I was joining 1 Open tournament in my country with 85% were rated players (>50% are >2000 in FIDE rating). Although my performance on paper was not good enough, I managed to get 5 draws out of 9 (including 2 draws with rated players). All my games were equal and at some point of analysis my position was even better and could be winning. Furthermore, it was my 1st comeback in chess since 2006!! I am more flexible now and my game is maturing. I think I will stop here before my article look bragging on me :p I can't stop it, my ego is so high right now. Can you blame me for it? :)

Today, the history in Champion League didn't happen since Barcelona went through the next round. In the match, Barcelona have shown the quality and proceed to knockout round by winning 2-0 against w Bremen. In the first half, I can say that Barcelona showed the quality in attacking as they lead 2-0 by just 15 minutes. Ronaldinho has once again played in fantastic condition with perfect passing. The teamwork in Barcelona team also great........So, what I can say is Barcelona really a great team and they have proof it today....And for W Bremen, the team was unlucky since they produced many chances in second half....but the thing didn't go through as they hope...Anyway, congratulation to Barcelona and don't give up for W Bremen.
Tomorrow, one more game will either making a history or not. It's a game between Arsenal and Porto.......I can't wait to watch it and I hope it will be good game.

Why Mentor's Protege' outrage of Kat sang in Siti Wedding is not Relevant?

1) First of all, it is Siti right to invite whom she felt best to sing in her wedding. It is not everybody have the opportunity singing in Siti Wedding although they have experience many years in the Music Industry. I don't feel there is a need to name one. :)

2) Siti is Kat Mentor. As the reason Siti is Kat mentor and she is very busy for her wedding, this is the only way Siti can provide mentoring to Kat. Why those other protege' jealous to Siti- Kat relation? It is obvious they also get mentoring advice from their mentor! Become jealous to Kat just show how un-appreciate of them toward their mentor! Anyway Hazami protege' comment on the issue is good because does not jealous of Kat opportunity.

3) Why we need another "yet-to-be" artists/entertainer whom so jealous on their collegues success and show publicly? Those attitude of SAMPAH don't need to put publicly! Use it to make yourself better.

Last month, Astro Ria had broadcast the Indonesian Soap Drama titled "Aku Tlah Jatuh Cinta" with Agnes Monica (cute Riby ;) Hi hi hi.. my fiancee will be very angry because of this comment :p sorry honey!), Zumi Zola and Irwansyah. Anyway I missed during the broadcasting season but my fiancee did enjoy it and somehow I do remember, she did told me about this. Writing this article in English doesn't mean I look stupid writing in Malay. Thus I rewritten this article in Malay to show my appreciation toward our national language.
"Versi translasi ke bahasa Melayu:

Boleh dikatakan Hari Kemerdekaan Malaysia yang ke-49 adalah yang paling membosankan pernah berlaku. Mari meneliti punca penyebab mengapa ini berlaku. (psst: Ini adalah pendapat saya sepenuhnya)
{1} Perkahwinan terhebat tahun ini - Perkahwinan dalam taman antara Datin Siti Nurhaliza dan Datuk K pada 28 August 2006 lalu.

{2} Kebanyakan media bercerita tentang perkara {1}.

{3} Kekurangan program-program bertemakan kemerdekaan seperti yang telah dilaksanakan pada tahun-thun sebelumnya. Hanya pada hari ini, kesemua saluran radio mengatakan mengenai Kemerdekaan Malaysia. Pada tahun-tahun sebelumnya, keseluruhan bulan Ogos diisi oleh pengisian Merdeka.

10 Reason Why This Year Merdeka is the Lamest

This year merdeka [49] is the lamest of all ever happen. Lets check the reason why? (psst: This is solely my opinion)

{1} Wedding of the year - Datin Siti Nurhaliza married to Datuk K on 28th August 2006
{2} Every media kept talking/writing about {1}.
{3} Lack of programme by the theme of Kemerdekaan this year as such of those years. Only by todays, every radio is talking of Kemerdekaan. Those years, the whole month of August was spared with Kemerdekaan.
{4} Datin Siti Nurhaliza did not have time to sing Allahyarham Sudirman song like those years when 31st August. [Miss it very much :(]
{5} Lack of Malaysian citizens pluggin the mini flag on their cars like those years. Although, most of those years, the mini flag was sponsored. :p
{6} Planting flag in house only happen at the end of the month not like those years. [Those years: in the beginning of August, some even put in July]
{7} On the night of Merdeka, Concert is organise solely for citizens to gather in one spot of each states to see the beautiful firework as a sign of another year of independant. But do youngsters care? I myself think, this is the best moment to say "I love you" to your love one :p
{8} Marching is organised on 31st August every year. But I didn't bother to watch it since tenth because you can watch it on TV :p Anyway, being there under the hot sun is a sign of loyalty to the country.
{9} What is the meaning of indepandant to the youngsters? :) I myself can't think of one. But do alert, you can get answers like "Gay Marriage is accepted by Malaysia". Do..... Alert! [Indepandant to youngster: The sign of belonging to the country where the youngsters have their right to say about their views without being bounded by anyone. (but as right by law ;p ) (as per-say on blogging :) )]

What ever the reason of why this Merdeka is so damn lame, it is really about time to say "I love you MALAYSIA" not "I love you honey" when you watching the beautiful firework, k. MERDEKA! MERDEKA! MERDEKA! <- PRESERVE if I can't make it to blog on Merdeka night! {10th reason}

War against Malware never end

It has been awhile I last encounter malware attack on my pc, last night was the latest. But it really don't worry me much, as I know I have many online malware scanners on my pc. So I could step back and let them do the job. OK, latest malware which didn't have a chance to intrude my pc:

Trojan.Galapoper.A seen in [www.inohost.com]<- Don't click this link. It downloaded file contain this virus will change win32.exe file in your pc.

This file was found and deleted by my antivirus as soon as the download done. At least I have this virus in my malware zoo ;)

Take note that, in this world, there is no free thing. Don't be so naive to think that freeware is really free and did not have some of drawback. Unless it is really proven like open source ware like mozilla, open office, to name few. There is malware behind this ware most of the time. I would like to share my experience on spyware. Last Sunday, I browse for free powerpoint template, and so attract to this site which provide what I need. It was so attractive because the template is so professionally done. "Who on Earth will not download this?" :p I downloaded it and after finish dowloaded it, the IE7 browser was turn into spyware site which of course my firewall didn't permit it. Thanks to my 3 layered firewalls + OS firewall [change monitoring], I still survive. Anyway, I do get that template anyway, without any malware. :D

So, I really recommend using ZoneAlarm Firewall Pro for those who are using XP and below. Vista? no need le... Microsoft develop similar safety features into their current Vista development. It would be nice if I get to touch on the features in the future.

No Asian countries will be in the top 16 in the World Cup 2006. Even though the fact that last night, Korean fight with all their strengths and passions, it didn't stop the Swizz to blast 2 goals (final score was 2-0). Even draw was not enough to secure the Korean place as France blast 'selfish' Togo with 2-0 score. Anyway, last night match was greatly battle between Korean and Swizz. Anyway, on why I nick Togo soccer team as 'SELFISH', due to the fact that they demands their country for a humongous sum of bonus (due to the fact Togo is not as Rich as other country) for their plays in Final Stage of World Cup 2006. No loyal to their country. If any of Malaysian players is going to do like that, I'm voluntarily will kick their @$$ up till they stand and know their country. I just can't stand the attitude of selfish. Sorry to be 'emo' :p.

Anyway, I wish that Germany and Argentina to met in Final. (dunno if this will really happen but I will check World Cup 2006 site). England is not the deserving winner (if the could) but who knows, "The ball is sphere (round)", anything can happen. History showed how Greece win their Euro and play total defense style (no attraction soccer method).

Psst: I tried Zone Alarm Pro and really satisfied with the features. Now I have Multi layers of security on my laptop!. Multiple security wares fast enough to block and recognise the intrusion. :) Now have 3 layers firewall, 2 antivirus, 3 anti spyware, with many online tracking. I was expect it will slowdown my laptop, but I still satisfy on the speed of I'm browsing the web right now.

What are the most popular IM right now? :p ICQ le.. ditch both Yahoo Messenger and Windows Messenger/MSN Messenger (particularly the same). Basically ICQ popularity due to the fact that it is the pioneer to IM scene and has many loyal fans. But it is not particularly true in the coming years because there is many source said, YM and WM will be merge or basically work with each other to integrate the contacts. If this true, in next few years you do not need both to contact your friends with different IM but just use one.

Maybe some would say that, there already have IM that integrate all like Trillian. Hmm, I really skeptical a bit on Trillian because it still use the old time features where you cannot have video conferencing with your buddy. Additionally, it really make me bad because last time, I introduce trillian to my brother and the integration havocly send all my brothers contacts to all his buddies including me. Basically, I did know who he is talking to in his IM :D

So if I were to choose one, which one will I choose? Hmm.

Heck, I wonder how will Microsoft progress with it Vista as we all know Apple will come up with Mac OS Leopard in the same period. The only advantage on Microsoft is the lack of users capability to on attitude to change environment. If this can be change, Microsoft will not monopolize the OS market. Faster Web Surfing

I have to admit that I'm a 'giler' security freak ('cop' by my brother in the head :( ) with habit on download junkies. Can't blame me either because as technology become more advance, the need of security to be advance too. I just upgrade my security by putting another firewall last night :D Anyway, I will not blog about security in this thread, but most of all it will be about surfing the web faster!

It has been many month Google is promoting its Google Web Accelerators. I have tried it, really, it really make my IE surfing habit like super-lightning fast! :O Ha ha ha little exalerate a bit. :) But true. I tried to open website which is really slow, like www.download.com (I thought this site not slow before), but encouraging it is relly slow and I save like 1-2 seconds. Don't believe me? Try it.

Being an Asian, I can't take my back on how I wish to see European soccer acknowledge of Asian Football development. Asian particularly Korean Soccer Team has progress tremendously since the last world cup. To add more shiver on their opponents, Korean supporter chanting of their team energy. "Hae Havin kon"! Am I right? Hmm I really can't pronounce it properly. See for yourself at the last of this scene on how it should be pronounce. See for yourself here! Check for at the very last second where this chanting appear.

For past few weeks, internet users particularly Yahoo Mail customers were shock by the worm called Yamanner. According to Symantec, "The worm, dubbed "Yamanner," infected a recipient's computer as soon as the toxic e-mail was opened. It then scanned contact lists for additional targets."-(Nasdaq: SYMC)

The virus particularly exploit the vulnerability in JavaScript. Thus, by last week, Microsoft have produce security patch for its Windows XP (the humongous June Update) and other particular apps like Word and Outlook. Then by yesterday, it was reported that the culprit (from Iran) behind this virus have contacted silicon.com (sisters for news.com) proclaiming he is the writer. The objective of the writing on the Yamanner is to advertise his credential programming ability for job opportunity. Source-silicon.com

Weird thought, but there is history once (2004) that Sven Jaschan once a writer of Netsky Virus (The worst damaging virus history) has landed a job with German security company SecurePoint and suddenly become a hero ;). But in case of Yamanner virus, the news is still cautiously investigate weither it is true or not.

Mission Alpha: Searching for My Kingdom

It has been 3 months now that I have my Google Earth Copy install in my computer and I was excited to see how my neighbourhood is view in satelite view. But to some lack of time, I didn't do much to pursue my vision. So this time around, I plan a mission called mission Alpha: Searching My Kingdom.

Dillema: Upgrade to Vista or Not to upgrade?

It's been a while since Microsoft announced the Vista for next Windows OS (XP replacement) which will be out soon (in the market in January 2007). By last week (7/6/2006), Microsoft takes a step further by introducing Vista beta 2 to the public. You can try it here! and the respond was high as the download sites are full. Even by introducing it in bittorent network (by Windows fans) didn't help much either. Does Vista really appeal to me? ;)

In some way, Yeah! You get the latest product from Microsoft. Very much similar to Mac OS X Tiger which being brag by Apple as the best OS in the market now. Name it, dashboards = gadgets (aka widgets :p), safari = IE7 (tab browsing capable), Windows Life OneCare = Apple don't need one (coz their security features lack vulnerability!) :(, WMP11 = iTunes.... and much more.

Hey wait... isn't that all this already have in the market? Yeah. I even try to Vista-ing my PC without having to try Vista :p Go get your widgets from Yahoo!, WMP11? Try iTunes coz I've been comparing quite sometimes now that iTunes use smaller memory than WMP11 beta. The different is by 20-15MB. I think this is because WMP11 beta try to get internet connection each times for URGE site. This is the only mistake for WMP11 beta. They should put some button to disengage this behaviour of WMP11 :p

Previously in my blog, I publish about Windows Desktop Search, yeah, that is some feature to add for Vista-ing your PC. About Microsoft introduce Windows Life OneCare Security Protection, this issue is debateable whether it is a good idea for OS developer to introduce one. Basically, because of this reason: why consumer need to pays for subscription for security reason when Windows Vista vulnerability occur. It is the job of OS developer to fix and gives better OS to consumer.

Some great features in Vista is its Aero feature although it isn't interest me much due to some reason this is why Vista Premium Ready requirement is 1GB Memory. Woooo.... Thats is the highest spec available in Market right now!!!

What really interest me is the feature Windows ReadyBoost which gives memory boost from your Thumb Drive. Hmmm, I'm imagine of using multiple thumb drive to get my memory up to 5GB REALLY (THUMB DRIVE IS MUCH CHEAPER THAN MEMORY (DDRII ram) for laptop) :p just kidding. ha ha ha

Touché as it is.. iMac can run XP now but PC with Vista can't run Mac OS X Tiger? This is due to simple fact that Microsoft want to dominant the OS market which by introducing their customers to OS X will somehow gives chance for comparison. Which 1 will win you think? ;) keep in mind that OS X Leopard is going to release in the same times of Vista. I'm crossing my finger for Leopard to run in the PC as Mac now run in Intel. :p <-Me dreaming loh.

Hmm... back again. Do I really want to upgrade? Mine - all Vista requirements achieve. Maybe I stay for a while to my Vista-ing XP. Maybe in 2008 I'll get my Vista copy. Yeah after all the bug in Vista gone ;)

Replacement of Window Search?

Yeah, its here. This is new technology develop by Microsoft to replace it slow, outdated search technique. It is call Windows Desktop Search. This utility utilize the benefits of net searching technique which is indexing the whole hard disk drive to make it similar to net indexing! So you will get your search result in an instant. Its true! I get my result in a second (less I think). And it indexing job is done during idle period so you can done your job like usual. After seeing this, I think Microsoft is really really... I mean really serious in making Vista a fuss!!! The only cons about this desktop search is its take alot of memory (up to 200MB on PF usage :p). Other than that, you don't need to worry to find your missplaced document. Oh, it even can search in document and email :D Bravo Microsoft!.

X-Men III - The Last Stand >Personal Review<

It was at 5.10 pm, and there I was sitting and eating popcorn alone in front of big screen (GSC) watching X-Men III - The Last Stand. It was the 1st day screening (of the movie) in Malaysia(!). As a fan of the X-Men myself, my expectation was high on this sequal. In the beginning of the movie, the director, as usual (to previous of X-Men sequels), like to get us back into the past of the targets character. This time, it was the Jean Grey aka Phoenix and 'Arch' Angel. It was ok.

Then, the movie shift into the present, where X-men's' fight against the 'Apocalypse' where Wolvarine calmly smoke his cigar while others fight like hell :p (Cool Wolvarine) -> Cyclop was not there. Just to know that it was in the training room. :p :p :p -1-

In matter of Jean Grey, Cyclop said
"Not everybody heal as fast as you, Logan!" to Wolvarine.
Obviously, the de-motivation of himself lead to his death when he re-met his lover Jean Grey who at the time was taken by her other half, Phoenix, who is controlled by passion and anger (other than attune as Level 5 mutant(!) [higher than Magneto]). Kill by a kiss I would say :p.
-It is sad that we could not see Cyclop perform in the sequel. :(

So, Phoenix alive!!!

Then, it was this part that Mystique was captured by the goverment and introduction of Dr. Henry Mc Coy aka Beast (or Fur Ball - Wolverine teast ;)) as the Secretary of Mutant Affair (?) in Goverment :p It was about the 'healer' of mutant (healer mutagenic serum) which have connenction with father of the Angel (Warren Worthington III), Warren Worthington II (WW2). WW2 discover the serum to de-mutannize his son Angel. During Angel child, he really hate his wing. Everytime his wing start to grow, he will detach it (in the bathroom and full of knives, saw :p) I think, thats the only connection that the director want to show about the Angel! Although, in the end (almost end, he join the X-Men (after Charles Xavier death)), he is saviour of his father :p (I thought, that Angel could be more use in this sequel :p :p

So Charles Xavier dead!!!

His death due to his affection to his students. "Control power, heal you" his last word! This is the part where 1st time Charles and Magneto both treat like 'friends' to get back Phoenix to their side. Sadly Charles was killed by Super-power level 5 Mutant Power, Phoenix.

When, Pyro said that he could kill Prof X,
Magneto say "You are once them, He do much for mutants, his death was a sacrifice for mutants". His last words of his best friend.

So Xavier dead, Cyclop dead!!! Seriously I think that the director wanna cut the sequel once and for all!!! Like the title it self -> The Last Stand!!!
To add more, the Mystique was de-mutanize!!! reveal her naked self :p -> "You are out!!" by Magneto. Later, she betray Magneto by giving the government the correct location of Magneto hiding. (But I think, it was planned as only Multiple-Man was there as Decoy!!)

Oh!! The romance in this sequel are more toward Roque - Ice-Man - Kitty Pride aka Shadow Cat ;) although in the end the spotlight was more toward Wolvarine and Jean Grey (A minute passion that don't last :p). I think in this sequel, Kitty has the most spotlight especially during the fight with Juggernaut to get the 'Leech' first! [This is when everybody laugh!!! see picture]

I think my review should end here. ;p as further more will spoilt your viewing. My personal rating of the Movie is 3.25/5.... -> Bias for Kitty [by 'cute' Ellen Page.] :D

2. Na3!? in sicilian is interesting new idea in Sicilian development promote by GM Zjaginsev. It is not just chess skill is measure but obviously, player's psychology preparation is test here.
Na3!? can be tranposed to Alapin Variation later but black development on queenside is put on hold for a moment due to Na3. Until this 2.Na3!? is taken seriously, I think it is worth for surprise weapon for those really don't like sicilian as white. Hey, GM Ponomariov and GM Khalifman were victims to this system while GM Zjaginsev never lose in this system (till now)!! :D IT IS SOUND!!

It was already known that Malaysia Internet connection has upmost 2MBit/sec while some part of the world is enjoying Gigabits connection. My concent appear after I comparing my bandwidth with fellow in UK which utilies 20% network of 10MBit/sec while I'm here stuck by somewhat less than 1% of 10MBit/sec network utilization. :( hey.. 1% of 10Mbit/sec is 100KBit/sec... It really slow compare to the advertisement (I'm subscribed to 1MBit/sec). Thats only 10% utilization of my network I rent.

As slow not only give me nerve, nowadays computer, on internet connection particularly is vunerable to spam, spyware :p All this make my connection more slower. So I search for best solution to optimize my bandwidth connection. So I come up with:

During the semifinal, Arsenal has shown that they were also an elite team just like Juventus, Milan, Real Madrid and so on...... Now, the final countdown has come. Arsenal vs Barcelona.....Can Arsenal shows that they can bring the glory back to England.....just like what Liverpool did during last year.......If that happens, Arsenal will make their own history in football.....with many of the players still young and less experience in Championship match, they managed to qualify into final for the first time.........The game will be tough with Barcelona as opponent. Barcelona has many skillful players such Ronaldinho, Eto, Leo Messi and excellent golkeeper. So, what Arsenal has to do......defensing or attacking.....Lets see what happen during the game.....May miracle happen????

Chess: Center Counter 'Patzer' Variation

Ever play Center Counter before? :) I have been playing it since I play chess again back 3-4 years ago. But that does not make me a master of this opening but I do feel attach to this opening. Many grandmasters play this as black such GM Michael Adam, GM Ian Rogers, and give new ideas in this opening which is known for its solid as such in Caro Kahn.

At the very 1st move, black put a direct threat to white 1. e4 d5. Note that, any other than 2.exd5 for white does not give an advantage for white as the 1st mover.

2. exd5 ......

After this move black have 2 main ideas to reply. 1st -> 2. Qxd5 (Center Counter) and 2nd -> 2. Nf6 (Scandinavian Defence). The later is more tactical with many gambits which if white treat lightly maybe lethal. The 1st is many GM favourite when armour with this opening. It is obvious the solid move for black.

2. ...... Qxd5

3. Nc3 ....... threat the black queen. This is the obvious direct tactical move. Others, simply unuseful or lack of threat.

Now, black have many moves to position the black queen. The most popular one is at a5 square. Others, Qd6 and Qd8 still going through the experiment and theories are evolving. Back to the topic, 'Patzer' variation dubbed by James Plaskett is actually Mieses Kotroc Gambit which seem so typical blunder or lack of tempos(!!). But to tell the truth, white never get to gain real advantage or mating attack although white play solidly. At the end I will share it why.

4. Be2 c6

5. Nf3 Qc7

6. O-O Bf5

7. e4 f6

Although white obviously have 2 tempos but it never get the advantage due to solidity of the structure as such achieve in Caro-Kahn. Below is the diagram of black final structure in this opening. It was 2 pm, when I'm in mood of training my chess skill through online chess. Waiting for about 2 min after published my seek (seek 10 f), I got an opponent (XXXX) to play with. Till 5 minutes left to both o us, I was in lead to mate him in 10, suddenly, my antivirus pop-up 3 times to aknowledge me that a worm is intrude me :( each time during my move!!

"Hey you. Don't cheat!!! Please play fair." , said me alone. :p

Thank god my laptop armoured with up to date antivirus definition, that I won him without worrying my computer safety (he lost the game in under 20 moves !! :D ).

So guys out there, whether, you playing online games, streaming movies/ radio or just surfing, note that the e-world is not that save! Get yourself a good antivirus to be armoured with or be burned (your $$$$$) repairing your precious gadget ;)
